Hand-crafted with care using creamy Tokoname clay, the Chanoma tea pot is a traditional Yokode-style teapot designed to serve up to two people. Features a baked-in strainer for loose leaf tea and a side handle for easy serving. This sophisticated teapot stands as an embodiment of Japanese minimalist aesthetics. With its uncomplicated form and smooth texture, the unglazed surface will develop a shiny seasoning with use, exemplifying understated elegance. An elegant choice for your everyday tea ceremony.

Designed by Koji Takahashi, it received the Good Design Award in 2022. Made in Japan.

Variation: 
Due to its hand-crafted nature and material, there may be slight variation in texture and appearance for each cup.

Care Instructions:
Hand wash only with no soap. Dry thoroughly with lid removed.

Tokoname ceramics will develop a shiny seasoning with use.

To remove any undesirable stains, rub the area with a mixture of baking soda and water.

It is not recommended to attempt to clean the interior ceramic strainer with a toothpick or similar hard object due to its delicate nature. Only clean the strainer with a soft brush.

Returns must be made within 2 weeks in original, unused condition with all packaging for either 1. Store credit for the full amount or 2. Refund – minus a 20% restocking fee.  Tortoise does not cover the cost of return shipping or the cost of re-shipping an exchange, and the cost of shipping for returns and exchanges is the responsibility of the customer.
