These ELEPHANT ornaments were designed by Masahiro Mori in 1958, and is known as one of the first mass produced iconic mid-century porcelain sculptures. Perfect gift for mid century design connoisseurs, and elephant ornament collectors.

Each elephant is available in 2 different colors (black and white) and 2 different sizes (M, L)

History: 
Hakusan Porcelain was founded in 1779 in the town of Hasami, Nagasaki prefecture and has existed in its current form since 1958. Led by designer Masahiro Mori, Hakusan has been the leading porcelain producer in post-war Japan. Awarded such honors as the “Good Design” and “Long Life Design” prizes, Hakusan exemplifies the simple elegance of Japanese Design.

Care Instructions:
Dust as needed. Will crack or break with strong impact.

 

Returns must be made within 2 weeks in original, unused condition with all packaging for either 1. Store credit for the full amount or 2. Refund – minus a 20% restocking fee.  Tortoise does not cover the cost of return shipping or the cost of re-shipping an exchange, and the cost of shipping for returns and exchanges is the responsibility of the customer.
