Mixing her incredible craftsmanship with her whimsical sensibility, designer Mizuki Tsurutaka creates a playful, 18k yellow gold skull shaped pendant encasing an emerald stone. The back reveals the other side of the emerald in a multi pronged setting, so the necklace can be worn both ways.

History:
Mizuki Tsurutaka founded Black Barc in Los Angeles in 2011. Rather than relying on molds, Tsurutaka handcrafts all her work using traditional Japanese blacksmithing techniques and cites nature as the primary inspiration behind her designs. As a result, Black Barc pieces feel timeless, quietly evoking organic, elemental forms found in our surrounding environment. Based in Torrance, Tsurutaka shares her studio with her husband, Yusuke Muramatsu, designer of Prospective Flow.
